The Government of the Town of Buenos Aires into practice put a policy of consolidation of cultural spaces, among whichthe coffee ' porteño' is one of most important.
Thus, Buenos Aires saw returning in the everyday life certain significant places and with them of the artists. Musicians, dancers, poets, singers, painters, divide their works with the customers of these coffees of Buenos Aires.


A selection of places to be attended

COFFEE TORTONI
With a few meters of ' Put Rosada', the seat of thePresidency of the Republic, this famous bar, creates by Mr. Touan, French of origin, was always a catalisor of the social, political and cultural life of Buenos Aires. Its name was given to him by its founder starting from the homonymous Parisian coffee. Mr. Touan yields his coffee to his friend, him so French, Celestino Curuchet.
The ' Tortoni' was not foreign with the crises that the country knew, nevertheless it remained upright and survived time and the lapseof memory. It is currently coffee, ' peña' cultural, has billiards and present small-shows of tango tous.les.jours of the week.

36 BILLARES
As its name indicates it, the Coffee ' 36 Billares' has with the basement of billiards and sometimes is the Champion of the World there, Maestro Navarra.
At the ground floor the coffee functions and in its back-store, there are tables of play for dice and charts. Saturdays, the ' 36 Billares' presents a recital tango with the guitarist and type-setter Esteban Morgado and of the guests, starting from 20h (we recommend to you to go there earlier). There are also exposures of painting.

THE EMBAJADA
This is a typical coffee of the zone of Montserrat, old working of Buenos Aires. Every Friday we can (wemust) listen to the excellent singers and musicians of tango, among them Alfredo Saez.

PUERTO RICO
Famous cafetery and chocolate factory stuck to Plaza of Mayo. ' Puerto Rico' is a corner little attended of the trés tourists but attended by the ' porteños', It is a traditional coffee which sells also coffee, tea, and crescents well crunching.
