Calo start his career as bandoneonist in 1925 in the orchestra of Osvaldo Fresedo, then in other formations (Pracanico, Catulo Castillo) till he create his first group in 1930.

A long and brilliant career will follow, which will see remarkable musicians passing in the orchetras of Miguel Calo, giving to it the nickname of Orquesta de las Estrellas.

Among the musicians playing with him, we can remember Osmar Maderna, Domingo Federico, Armando Pontier, Enrique Mario Francini, Orlando Tripodi, Hugo Baralis. Then in his formation of the sixties we find with Calo, the bandonion of Libertella, the violin of Suarez Paz and Orlando Tripodi on piano.

In this Cd we have ecordings of his Orquesta de las Estrellas made after 1964.

Great classic and contemporary tangos constitute the repertory of this Cd where one will appreciate the virtuosos play of the orchestra.
