Argentine, the hold up of a century
A documentary by F. E. Solanas about the Argentine’s crisis.
During this last quarter of century, from the military dictatorship until our days, Argentina has suffered one of the most brutal economic and social collapses that was known in times of peace.
This rich country and its population suffered the ultraliberalism, the spoliation of the goods of the State, the explosion of the foreign debt, the political and financial corruption.
All these were made with the help and the complicity of the western multinationals under the glance and complicity of many organizations.
There was a policy of “the burnt land”, faced by a man who is called Carlos Menem, that concluded in a real social genocide like hunger, diseases and human lives sacrificed . The movie destined to all those that resist with dignity and courage, dismantles one to one the mechanisms that led to this catastrophe.
