Anecdotes
The turn of the festivals
Silvia Prieto collected the Price of the Best Scenario
and that of the Best Actress to the Festival from the Three Continents
in Nantes in 2003. It was also presented at the Festival of
Sundance, like with the Festival of Berlin, in the section "Forum".
Writer and realizer
Silvia Prieto is the second film of Martin Rejtman,
after Rapado, presented in Locarno and Rotterdam. Rejtman, which
followed studies of cinema to New York, carries out a career of writer
in parallel: "I never felt the need for making a distinction,
probably because I do not have an academic formation which obliged me
to follow a way rather than another (...) I studied the cinema, but
also the History, the music and painting. I started by seeing
art as a continuity and not as compartments which cannot communicate
between them. It must be for this reason which I seek the same
thing in a film, a book, a table or in a song. What interests
me, it is what is behind, the point of view of the author."
