An exposure to include/understand and know this culture which comes us from Argentina



When we think of the Argentinian tango we let us identify it with the dance or the music.

In second the the XIX century half, in its beginnings, the dance and the music constituted cement, then thereafter the tango will extend, to become the mirror of a city, the identification of a population which did not cease increasing with the arrival of the immigrants come to seek a better life in Argentina


We know very little of it about this culture, because it acts indeed of a culture ' with share entière', of a history with multiple facets.

A significant number of contributions and influences made it grow during several decades, energy of years 1880 at the years 1940. The tango did not stop in the years 1950, as we know it and as the Exposure shows it to us, but it is between the dates quoted above, than he knew his true formation and than he succeeded in proving a strong identity and his development.

The tango very quickly became a culture which speaks and indicates a city and to which the individuals were identified. It has its History.

We have in France very few tools to allow us to include/understand and apprehend the Tango of Argentina. A collaboration between Argentina Musica y Arte and Continental Orage, a structure specialized in the organization of exposures to strong values, of cultural diffusion, gave rise to a road show. This one brings on the history of the Tango, a lighting and the many ones and rich information. It makes it possible since the origins of the tango to traverse its spaces of expression, its contributions and its musical evolution and its repercussion elsewhere in the world.

On 21 panels, well organized information shows and explains this history. It offers to us by texts and images an interesting approach and sufficiently rich person to have a quite precise idea of this culture tango. A band its accompanies this work.

This Exposure was already presented in Lyon, Menton, and soon at Lagny, close to Paris. It is without any doubt an excellent tool of knowledge and discovery.
