Topic 1: Discovered Argentinas musics

Argentina is mainly known on the musical level thanks to the tango; that it is the traditional tango, appeared in France at the beginning of the XXème century, or the contemporary tango made popular by Astor Piazzolla, a few decades later.

But beyond the Tango, other musical kinds caused a great passion, particularly in France, gràce with type-setters and interpreters who keeps a certain fame: Atahualpa Yupanqui, Uña Ramos, Martha Argerich traditional pianist, Ginastera type-setter, Lalo Schiffrin, Gato Barbieri or today Raul Barboza, ambassador of the ' Chamamé'.

All these names give notice of the vitality of the music in Argentina.

However it still remains to make discover many other personalities: precursors, innovators and the renovating ones.

Argentinian music A always was moving constant. Today the young musicians are numerous to propose, dig the past and to enrich the present with talent.

This conference proposes to light and make known this cultural inheritance.

Work of various type-setters and interpreters of various musics will be commented on, all Argentinas.

A broad choice which, without claiming itself exhaustive, bringsa major knowledge of this diversity, individual contributions, and makes it possible to add to the list of the known names, those of others which deserve it as much.




Topic 2: Around the Argentinian tango

It already long and is varied this history of the Argentinian tango. We will evoke rapidly its origins, its gestation, the first times, its evolution.

Along this century the tango knew, and always knows, of the phases of restoration.

These various evolutions and times will be presented as well as the major characters who were the protagonists.

- the tango which is danced and that which is not danced in the living rooms
- different ' the styles tanguistiques'
- appearance of the various instruments and evolution ofthe orchestras
- importance of the word and the tango-song
- ' dialogues' with other musics, in particular the jazz, and the current movement with the magnet tango, inter alia



Methods of the conferences

These conferences are organized around comments and of the listening of musical extracts chosen and representative.

Their duration varies between 50 minutes and 1h15.
